Back1990's TV ads: 1998 Welcome to Surfer - one of the most celebrated ads of recent times. Part of the 'Good Things Come to Those who Wait' campaign, the ad uses the metaphor of Hawaiian surfers waiting for the ultimate wave to reflect anticipation for the perfect pint of GUINNESS® beer. Passages from Moby Dick feature in the voiceover to add to the mood of the piece - 'I don't care who you are,' intones the voice of actor Louis Mells, 'here's to your dreams.'
