Homage to a Catalonian Christmas
BackCatalonia is an autonomous region in Northeast Spain. The scatological nature of some of its festivities makes Catalonia the Christmas destination of choice for adventurous travelers. Among traditional activities, witness the creation of the nativity that includes the caganer (shitter) and the shitting of the tió (Christmas log). Catalonia was an independent nation until 1714.
