Yone as Chikkun - son of a teacher Yori as Fujio - heir of a buddhist temple Yody as okashita - family owns a fishcake factory Akun as Shirai - family owns a fish market Gacky as Taniguchi - son of a doctor Amano: A lot of unique characters... the heir's character seems especially hard. Yone: Yeaah, Yori needs to shave his head! Yori: Nah, I can just take this off (pretends to take off a wig) Amano: Whoa, that's a wig? That's a bigger surprise than the play! All: lol Amano: And you're playing the music live? I remember being surprised when I noticed that Udo (his partner)'s guitar didnt have a cord in it during K0uhaku Utagassen... lol Question?: No worries, we're gonna play it live! Marie: let's see how the background is for the play. Girls: the "electric guitary boom" is... a movement in late 1960 Japan. It started when the V/entures visited, who charmed the young Japanese musicians with their electric guitar. (the "dendeke..." is supposed to be the sound when playing the electric guitar) But, adults back then saw the electric guitar as a symbol of delinquency. Local community centers even banned musicians from playing the eletric guitar. Amano: It's unbelievable now, but back then it was banned to even have long hair. Sano: Schools were against them too. Amano: So a big part of this play is about longing for freedom.
