and i also hate it when people attribute songs to other artists, rather than the original... Just search for 'Tiesto - Insomnia' and you'll see all of my comments venting my frustration at n00bs who argue that tiesto produced Insomnia. these dweebs had never even heard of Faithless!!! Thats one thing i agree with you on. AFS is a bit of a different case though. people argue Tiesto stole it from Corsten, Corsten stole it from Orbit and Orbit stole it from Barber...its a bit messed up lol!!

yes, i can understand your frustration at how Tiesto has been thrust into this god like position. Its merely through the sheer volume of people he has impressed. personally, i preferred the Tiesto of 5-6 years ago. back then, being a fan of his actually made u individual.nowadays, every second person has a Tiesto song in their iTunes. But i never hold it against the man. When he started out playing in the backroom of a tiny club in holland at the age of 15, im sure he never foresaw all of this!!

Why are people leaving bad comments about tiesto??? I think he is great thats why i searched for a Tiesto tune. if you dont like Tiesto dont watch the fucking video, and dont leave shit messages.

Well, it looks like we're talking more adult like now. I see your points about the things a DJ does to put on a good show. I still think Tiesto isn't very impressive, and find his show and himself with a god like status fake. I also think that many people haven't heard music like the AFS one elsewhere and feel it's original, while it's not. Perusing through Youtube alone, I'm finding much better versions. The audience might be having a happy time, but they all seem so ignorant and drone like.

BUT...i think its how tiesto can keep the crowd in the palm of his hand during his mixes. Thats what has made this man the most famous DJ in the world... I hope you can understand this A1mint...im not being a prick, and im not undermining your opinion, just giving you the facts from a different perspective : )

there is a surprising bit of theory behind set construction. Ive studied this for a while. Ive listened to countless sets from different DJ's and i can easily pick out the bad DJs from the good, just by how they structure the set. I have Tiesto's EOL live concert on DVD and at certain points in his set, i thought: "God Tiesto! what were you thinking playing that song so early!" etc. Its not even his own productions that make Tiesto famous(i dont even consider him in my top 10 producers)[contd]

yes...well i fully respect u for your view. U are completely entitled to your opinion, and im glad you have shared it with us. Yes, your point is completely valid, all DJ's(not just tiesto) feed off other people's music. Take Eddie Halliwell for example. He's one of the worlds most popular DJs and he hasnt produced a single song! But what we appreciate is how a DJ can pick out all the finest cuts and weave them into an energetic set that can really get the crowd going....[contd]

a1mint, what do you think DJs do? do you think that when you hire a DJ hes gonna play his own songs? and that is his own work! some are remixes but then look at basshunter, would you call him a fraud for the remixes he does? hes a fraud in sane peoples eyes who havent thought about it enough...
