well we just have to appreciate that sage francis is more of a spoken word rapper than the kind that invests more on flow. the chopped flow is what makes sage different from the other hip hop acts out there.

i agree kpuff101. the lyrics are great, but if someone can put them together in a good flow, it's money. I've tried, but i just can't get into the Sage Francis obsession a lot of fans of underground rap, like myself, have gotten into. just not my style.

I have had this song for years. Is this song about his sister getting tatoos? He is jewish right, is about that fact jews aren't supposed to get tats? Is she a cutter? Heroin addict shooting up? I usually thought it was the tatoo and jewish religion thing.

Ok, i came off a little hard on this guy. Let me rephrase what i said cause i sounded like a 5 year old. I just don't enjoy his flow, and without at least a decent amount of flow, i can't really "feel" the music. Trust me, i love lyricists, and all my fav rappers are extremely talented lyricists. This guy is probably the only exception to the rule in my mind where lyrics are more important than anything else. I guess it just comes down to opinion, and i am sorry for coming off badly.

To survive you need engaging and intellectual lyrics. If you want a song to bob your head to go listen to S-club seven or something.

holy shit his flow is crap! OMG OMG OMG i didn't know someone could fuck up their lines so badly by their flow alone, but this guy ahs done it. And no i dont listen to lil wayne, but all rappers, underground and mainstream alike, need flow to survive. Otherwise many people won't be able to really feel the song unless they heard it many times. He might have lyrical skill, but i just can't bob my head to this guy. Im gonna go listen to copywrite or aesop rock instead :D

i would rather have intellectual lyrics that actually make sense unlike lil wayne who just sounds like a lyrical moron on the mic.

I dont really see your point. I was just responding to some people who said he had bad flow which he doesnt. He just doesnt really have a good presence on the mic.
