Despite his dislike for the 5-string, Tony Rice is one of the greatest musicians to ever grace bluegrass. He was right, however, to protest Crowe's decision to add a drummer. I'm saddened by Tony's unfortunate condition affecting his voice. I celebrate all of his work... Keep on pickin' Tony!!

What a great song! One of my favorite Tony covers. That's some serious right hand skill.

Simple music for simple minded people. LOL. LONG LIVE IGNORANT SHEEP...

Perfection is simplicity. A man and his guitar - no more. He's under-rated. He's a freakin ICON!

Instead of "uptown" in line 1, it should have read "out of town". Apart from that, however, you R word perfect !!!! Thanks 4 taking the time to jot the lyrics down 4 all of us to enjoy... Just luv this song. Merry Xmas to you allisterfine1.

And I got myself a rocking chair to see if I can lose, These thin dime, hard time, hell on Church Street Blues. And I wish I had some guitar strings, the old black diamond brand, Id string up this old Martin box and go and join some band. But I guess Im going to stay right here, and pick and sing a while, And try and make me a little change and give you folks a smile.

And I got myself a rocking chair to see if I can lose, These thin dime, hard time, hell on Church Street Blues. I found myself a picker friend, and I read yesterdays news, I folded up page twenty one and I stuck it in my shoe. I gave me a nickel to the poor, my good turn for the day, I folded up my old bill fold and I threw it far away.

Well Ive been hanging out uptown, Lordy in that low down rain, Watching good time Charlie, friend, is driving me insane. Up on shady Charlotte street, Lord the green lights look red, I wish Is back up on the farm, Lord in my feather bed.

enlarged soundhole(cause clarence white played with a quarter and he tore apart the edge of the soundhole so it was enlarged)...and a gretsch fingerboard...slick and fast
